WAS Benson Rise and Fall Desk Lamp
A fine example from the eminent lighting designer WAS Benson. This rise and fall table lamp sits on an elaborate, raised leafy base. The stem is simply designed with curved side arms and a central brass ball through which the cable feeds. The rise and fall mechanism is cleverly made and with knurled detail.
Marked Benson underneath a foot.
Size. Height to bulb holder at lowest setting 56cm. Height to bulb holder at highest setting 70cm. Height to top of shade when fixed at lowest setting 69 Base measures 29cm wide.
Fitted with a new switched B22 bulb holder and wired with approximately 2 metres of antique gold braided cable. PAT tested prior to dispatch.
Fitted with a ruffled hand made dubon silk shade in bronze.
