Meet Martin – the creative force behind Ashby Lighting. He has a passionate interest in antique lighting, the Arts and Crafts Movement and was incredibly inspired by the designs of WAS Benson. With a large collection of original pieces by the eminent lighting designer, Martin began to create our own Ashby Hand Crafted collection of lights which faithfully honour these timeless designs. To source an original piece by Benson has become increasingly expensive not to mention hard to find. We manufacture from our workshop in the Midlands and as an ex Rolls-Royce engineer Martin has a wealth of skills and experience to draw on. Our hand made lighting range combines modern technology such as CAD design and laser cutting with age old hand skills which are essential to achieve the detail the authentic arts and crafts style.
