Our manufacturing capability has enabled us to supply bespoke lighting for the film and television industry. The film industry here in the UK really is booming with expanding film studios both large and small.
Set directors are tasked with creating sets and back drops which look authentic to the period and genre of the film. In addition to the key lighting, the practical lighting is an important part of this.
It’s an exciting aspect of our business and combines our love of films with our love of lighting! However, confidentiality is always of paramount importance to our clients so these commissions aren’t ones we can publicly share
To give you an example, we were recently approached by a film set director looking for 3 wall lights with antique glass shades for an external set. We were sent a photo to give us an idea. Following up this initial contact with telephone calls and emails, we were able to design and manufacture three wall brackets and add antique flame shades. The lead time from first enquiry to hand delivery was 5 working days
We work hand in hand with clients to manufacture lighting often from a photograph or sketch. Our focus as always is creating lighting which meets both the specification and the deadlines.
